Hey it is a new day with the same snow, but we are a go for SNOW INN ‘08. We are going to meet at Mongolian Grill @ 12pm (NOON).  When your student arrives we need all permission slip to be hand in to Pastor Patrick. Please make sure you have this as not everyone has turned it in to-date.  Also the cost is going to be broken do in the following way;

Just so you know the $50 dollar deposit went to Youth Convention Registration and only $35 dollars can be refunded.  Just a note if you have already paid in full we will refund the difference next week to you.

Hey I know things have been crazy the past few days but we are getting ready for SNOW IN ‘08 and don’t want to forget about the STL banquet.  Below is the permission slip to go on this trip.  You just cover travel snacks and food. Hello everyone.  I hope that you have had a great day. I know that it is been a little crazy wondering if we are going to Youth Convention.  The weather has not lifted and we are not going to be able to make it to youth convention.  But we are still going to have a party.  I have worked with other churches from west river to create Snow In ‘08.  This is going to be our own personal youth convention right here in Rapid.

We are going to meet tomorrow around Noon for lunch at Mongolian Grill. Then we are going to check in at Quality Inn for the night. We will have a finished schedule tomorrow for everyone. This will be some of the points it will cover:

1. 2 Services and 1 Worship/Prayer Service

2. Swimming

3. Late Night Fun @ the Hotel

4. Meals with friends

5. Possible “Impact Rapid City”

I know this is not exactly Youth Convention but we did not want the snow ruin a weekend of us chasing after God.  With the change of venue also comes a change in price. Here is the new price breakdown for the trip.

Hey just wanted to get you some information.  I am working on some things right now and will be posting an update here within the next hour or so.  I know we all have been trapped inside for awhile now and getting a little itchy.  Be watching the website for “Breaking News” over the next hour.

Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that I have been working hard today for us to leave but it is not going to work out.

Highway 90 is closed from Rapid City to Vivian.  The State has shared they believe the soonest it would open is tomorrow morning.  They have huge Snow drifts and hundreds of stranded vehicles. It is restricted by the State.

So we are going to listen to them and focus on leaving tomorrow.  We will release some information tonight as we receive more information.  Sorry, and I am working hard to make this trip happen.

I have heard and checked and found that most of the streets are still closed both in the city and Interstate.  To be safe we are going to move our departure time back to 3pm.  That means the following;

We are going to go at 3pm

I need all students to be at the church at 2:30pm

If you have paperwork to do you need to be at the church at 2pm

I want to remind you to keep watching the website for breaking news about Youth Convention.  I will also be sending information to your mobile phones.  We are going today but want to make sure everyone is safe in our travel. See you today…

Hey Just got an email from Mark where he shared the following:

“It appears that the roads will open again tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM which means traffic should be flowing at a decent pace shortly after that time.  It also appears the Blizzard Warning/Winter Weather Advisory will be lifting tomorrow before noon.”

With this information I am going to take a proactive stance to change the time of our departure to be 12pm (NOON)  This will let all warnings expire and the state a good jump on cleaning the roads.  So please mark the following changes:

1. Please arrive by 11am if you need to finish any paper work and in you need to pay money.

2. Everyone needs to be at the church by 11:30am to load up and meet before we leave

3. We will leave at 12am (NOON) promptly
