Vision Statement for Facility Expansion

The Leadership of Rapid City First Assembly recognizes God’s hand of faithfulness and provision in our 79 year history.  We salute past dedicated believers who sacrificed to build more than they needed for themselves through two major building programs on this site, believing that others would be reached years later.   

We have experienced tremendous growth in the church, with increases in Children’s and Youth ministries, and in our Adult Discipleship and Small Group ministries.   By the grace of God and the faith of the people of First Assembly of God and others in Rapid City, South Dakota, we are pleased to present a proposed Ministry Center to be built on the First Assembly campus.   This facility will include:

·         43,000 square feet of functional building space.

·         State of the art nursery and childcare area.

·         Inside and outside play areas. 

·         13 spacious classrooms.

·         New commercial kitchen.

·         Middle and High School Ministry Center/Fellowship Hall

·         Prayer Center.

·         Administrative offices. 

To meet this challenge, we are entering into one of the most significant periods in the history of this church family.  We must build so we can better serve our people, and prepare to meet the spiritual needs of those seeking Jesus Christ as their personal Savior...the hundreds of people who are part of the future harvest.  This project will require each person in our congregation to prayerfully consider their role in this journey.  Each of us will be asked to make sacrificial giving commitments for the six million dollar ministry center, above and beyond our regular tithes, offerings, and missions giving.  As you can see, this will be a major building project.  Is this even possible?  In Matthew 19:26 Jesus said, “with man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”  It will take great faith and commitment for us to meet the challenge, but God is with us, and will lead us through this exciting time in the life of Rapid City First Assembly.  

It is with a firm conviction and total reliance upon God, that we step forward to fulfill this part of God’s vision for First Assembly.   May it be said of our church, that they looked ahead and IMPACTED GENERATIONS  for God’s glory!
