Community Talent Show Guidelines:
Because this is a community event being held at a church we ask that all talent show entries be family friendly. This means we will not be showcasing any performance that includes vulgar language, sexually explicit content of any kind and/or crude or off-color jokes. Talent show entrants will not be allowed to wear provocative clothing of any kind including: low-cut or revealing clothing, short skirts/shorts, spaghetti strap tank tops, or skin tight clothing. Our desire is to provide an environment that is wholesome for the entire family.
We will hold auditions for the Talent Show on Thursday November 1, 2018 starting at 6pm at First Assembly (4905 Mt. Rushmore Rd. Rapid City, 57701).
Each auditionee will be given a total amount of 4 minutes to showcase part of their performance with a panel of judges who will decide to either decline invitation or extend an invitation to the auditionee to perform in the talent show. The panel will judge each performance based on the following criteria:
Quality of performance, Showmanship, Preparedness, Skill, Creativity, appearance/appropriate attire, and crowd appeal.
Meet The Bruse Family!
This community talent show has been put together by our church to benefit the Bruse family. Their baby girl Serenity was born with Apert syndrome which means that her skull fused together early in the womb (which can hinder her brain from growing). She also has fused fingers and toes. Because of her medical condition the Bruse family has traveled to Denver where Serenity underwent several consultations for upcoming surgeries.
It is our hope that we can raise enough money to cover travel, lodging, and other expenses as they arise so that the Bruse family is able to focus on seeing their little girl get well and not have the added financial stress. We so appreciate your involvement. Whether you are a talent show participant, or plan on attending the talent show, thank you for making this a priority. May God bless you abundantly.
