Judges for the 2018 Community-Wide Talent Show
Brandi Ickes has danced since she could walk! She was a professional ballerina with the Houston Ballet Company from ages 13-21. She performed on stages abroad including Houston, London, and New York. She also worked on choreography for music professionals like Prince and Paula Abdul.
Currently Brandi teaches for her hometown studio here in Rapid City, SD at The Studio. She says, “God has been gracious to me and has taught me to give my talents away.”
LaVonne Masters started piano lessons at the age of five and has been playing flute since age 10. She was active in choirs and small groups in grade school and high school. She received a music scholarship for college.
In nearly 60 years of ministry, she has been involved with all aspects of music in the churches she and her husband served: playing piano and organ, directing worship teams and adult and kids choirs. She was music director in their church in Seattle.
Tom Haggerty grew up in Rapid City and began performing professionally at the age of sixteen. Tom was the lead vocalist, guitarist and bassist in several rock and country bands throughout high school and college. After graduating from the University of Wyoming Tom moved to Nashville where he worked for a large Christian record company and pursued selling his original songs.
In 1979 Tom returned to Rapid City where he and his father opened Haggerty’s Musicworks, a retail musical instrument store. Tom has continued to perform and record music throughout his musical industry career and is currently the worship pastor at Rimrock Church in Rapid City.
